Today, we recorded a really fun phone interview with Trace Beaulieu and Len Peralta about their book Silly Rhymes for Belligerent Children. We had to edit it down a lot for the radio (it’ll air this Saturday), but here’s the full thing, unedited:

The book is hilarious.  It is available now via tracebeaulieu.com (click on the link at the bottom of the “Under Construction” page) and you should get it.

Seattle’s Board of Education played a fun in-studio that we’ll air on Saturday.  In it, among other things, I attempt to foment a rivalry with other Seattle-based family bands.  Was I successful?  You’ll have to listen to find out.

We recorded an in-studio with the Nields this morning that won’t air until April.  But I couldn’t wait to post a couple songs. First, “Organic Farm” (which shares its name with their forthcoming DVD):

Longtime friend-of-the-show Aric Bieganek has a rockin’ new band, the Royal Order of Chords and Keys (R.O.C.K.).  They’ll be playing at the Meltdown, plus they’ve got a show at the Springfield Community Music Center a week from Saturday.  They came by the studio to record an in-studio to air this week; here’s a preview.  Does it rock?  Oh, yes, it rocks.
