SXSW 2020

THESE EVENTS ARE POSTPONED.

We are following the city and festival’s leads and postponing the programs below. We will have them at some point after Covid-19 has passed, with as much of the original lineups as is practical.

Gosh, they’ll be great.

After a quiet 2019, we are back like nobody’s business for SXSW 2020 with two ridiculously great unofficial events.

Up first, on Friday, March 20, from 10 am to 3:30 pm, we have a tribute to both Schoolhouse Rock and Daniel Johnston, supported by our friends at Springfree Trampoline. In addition to the artists listed on the poster, we’ll have the mighty Rockaroni & Cheese and, joining the Barton Hills Choir, Nakia. Just a buck for kids and five bucks for adults, with all proceeds benefiting the oldest (and I think best) stage in Austin, the Scottish Rite Theater.

Then the next day, from 3 to 7:30 pm, we’ll return to the Domain for maybe the fifth Rock + Read Festival! It’s free, with amazing music and local children’s authors. Thanks to Hat Creek Burger Company for their terrific support.
