Note: After playing it on the show, I was informed that Pancake Robot appears very likely to have been made by generative AI. I did some quick searching, and sure enough, the person who submitted it (without, I’ll note, a hint that this was the case) has a GitHub project specifically for making music using generative AI. I have emailed him to inquire but have not yet heard back; that said, it seems very likely that it is not a thing made by a person. I am sorry that I played it on the radio, won’t play it again, and wish I’d caught it myself. I will add a note to my submission place noting that I am uninterested in playing music created by generative AI as I consider it to be plagiarism.
