Cup & Top Cafe in Florence has been a great friend to the show since we were both babies — they started five years ago next month, when we had only been on the air about six months ourselves.  They’re celebrating their birthday all month, including a bunch of shows you might call warmups to the Meltdown.  So, check it out:

  • Monday Feb 21st @ 10am – Celebrate President’s Day with The Cat’s Pajamas. Joining us from Philly, this group makes cool music for kids, with dance, puppets, props and costumes. (ages 2-10)
  • Friday Feb 25th, 3:30-5pm at the Florence Civic Center – A skating party and book reading to celebrate the publication of Lisa Papademetriou’s latest book, ICE DREAMS! (ages 8-12)

KidsBeet Concert in Boston

Oct 05

Happy to pass this along from Amber of Boston Children’s Music:

On October 30th the KidsBeet concert series will be putting on a fun kids concert to benefit the Franciscan Hospital for Children (located in Brighton). This hospital serves so many special needs kids in the Boston area, particularly through outpatient therapy. My son receives PT here and they are just amazing!

The concert will feature three artists: Ben Rudnick & Friends, Charlie Hope, and Suzie Shelton. The event will be hosted by Rik Barron who will also play some of his kids songs between sets. It’s going to be a really fun show.

The concert will be at First Church Boston on October 30th from 10:30am to 12pm. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for kids. For more info visit http://kidsbeet.eventbrite.com/
