Kinda Like Asia and Damn Yankees but Not, You Know, Terrible

Kindie Rock PR head Steph Mayers posed an intriguing question to me:

Who would be in the Traveling Wilburys of kids' music? If you could create a supergroup -- one that would not end up doing anything remotely like the Power Station did -- made up only of current and past family musicians, who would you include? And why?

That's a tough one, Bill and Steph - you'd have to find artists that play different instruments - everyone I know is a lead guitarist and lead singer! They'd have to play a game of Scrabble to figure out who got to lead! In any case, I'd vote for bringing in some old timers - why not Ella Jenkins on ukelele and Pete Seeger on banjo?

I don't know about that, weren't all the Wilbury's pretty much lead singers?

I'd want Marty (TMBG) Beller on drums - hits with serious authority. Ulysses S. Dee on standup bass. Enzo Garcia on a gazillion instruments. ScribbleJim on guitar. Elizabeth Mitchell in there somewhere. And many many more.
