My newest Minnesota Parent column is now up, all about great books & music combinations. My favorite line from the original got edited out; it's the parenthetical here:

ScribbleMonster plays melodic poppy rock that would fit just fine on alt-rock radio, if only alt-rock radio played songs about monsters going “Rrraargh!” and imaginary friends. (Hey, it’d be better, and smarter, than any given Evanescence song.)
