This week

You. Must. Listen. This. Week.

Why?

Well, in addition to our usual delights (continuing conversations with ScribbleJim and Kevin Kammeraad), we'll also have an amazing guest DJ set from Brady Rymer. Plus -- and this is just from today's mail:

- Wee Hairy Beasties (former Mekons/Waco Brothers, Kelly Hogan)

- Old Town School of Folk Music's Songbook I (Dan Zanes, John Stirrat from Wilco, Danny Barnes from Bad Livers, more former Mekons, Robbie Fulks)

- Laura Freeman (cool Austin singer)

- Ginger Hendrix (I've no idea what it sounds like, but if it's half as cool as its packaging and such, it'll be your favorite record this year)

- Biscuit Brothers (Emmy-nominated Austin band with a public TV show and a CD)

What a great batch of stuff to come in!

I'm very psyched about the OTSoF record. And Macaroni Boy? We're so there. But we're nearly always there. Soccer has the week off for Columbus day/indiginous people's day/dia de la raza. We can fit more listening in on one day.

It's nice you all get rewarded for all the hard work you do with all the cool pre-hears.

You mean Laura Freeman? Yeah, I've heard some of the cuts off the latest album and they're quite good.

The Wee Hairy Beasties just rock.

Doh. Yes, Laura. That'll teach me to type without paying attention.

And the Ginger Hendrix CD is indeed good.
