Ella's Haiku

By request, here's Ella's haiku she recited on the air and is thinking about making into a song. It's about a sea shell.

People catch me
Little lines are purple
Hard suction cups

...and here are ScribbleJim's hints on making a poem into a song:
Read poem.
Start to sing poem.
When you like what you hear, it's a song.

I find that it's helpful to sing ideas into a tape recorder. That way, you can remember how they go (which is important). This also allows you to listen later and decide which ideas you like the best.

Ella and I play violin; Liam starts violin in a couple of weeks too. I play a little bit of mandolin. Dena doesn't play anything.
