yahooo! Great getting ready for the birthday party, stuffing loot bags music. Thanks!
Hey Diddle Diddle is my favorite Charity Kahn song. And David Byrne! Freaky fun. I dig him.
(Working our way through podcasts...)
I cannon believe you played Love & Rockets. I saw them during that tour at the Fox in Atlanta.
So have you played any Peter Murphy? :)
My kid can groove to an offshoot of Bauhaus, I love that.
That's excellent. I had forgotten, but I saw the same tour in Minneapolis at the Guthrie. Towards the end, the band invited the audience up onto the thrust stage (as they were set up towards the back of it) and the show immeidately got shut down. Disappointing but still a fun show.
I think they did that to intentionally end the show. They did something similar at the Fox show, and teenage ladies made a beeline for Daniel Ash. He looked frightened, bolted and the show essentially ended.
I saw an unknown NiN open for Peter Murphy around that same time. Reznor trashed Murphy's equipment, but clearly they buried the hatchet, as the reformed Bauhaus and NiN toured together this year.
Oh, forgot to tell you, ran across a brief interview with Telephone Company on youtube.com

Mustache reminds me of the old MTV show, Sifl and Ollie. It was a show that did a song called "Calls from the Public" which I rewrote to sing as a lullaby to my son, Colin (Calls for the Colin) when he couldn't sleep.

No Sifl and Ollie was never a kids show, but in a twisted way it was clear homage. :)
